Tour of Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden
A lively group of Members and Guests experienced a fascinating ‘behind the scenes’ tour of the Greater Des Moines Botanical Gardens on March 10th. Lunch followed the tour at Trellis cafe, serving locally sourced and plant-inspired soup, salads and sandwiches. Delicious!

Member Engagement via Social Media Participation
Hello IFMA Members!
One way we can engage our IFMA members is by encouraging them to participate in events and posting pictures or tagging ourselves at IFMA socials and events on social media. We are always looking to grow and add new members (these members can join at any time!)
Using Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc. would be a good way for us to show what our group is up to and encourage participation for other members who may not be regularly attending such events. Also, it may be a way for us to gain those new members we are looking for. Even this blog will be a way for members and potential members to see what we’re up to! Social media is a free (or inexpensive way) to create awareness of your group and visibility.
Some people aren’t able to attend all events, so if something is posted on social media, they will be able network beyond our IFMA website and through our Blog, we will be able to discuss other topics this year such as:
Job Postings & Web Site Info, Sponsorship, Programming, the Golf Outing, Social Media Promotion, Communication and Upcoming Leadership News. Stay tuned for upcoming blogs posted each month from your Central Iowa IFMA Chapter’s Steering Committee.
